You don't need to use Darky. If you buy a new OA key on steam with a new account then you should be good to go. If not then start up Arma OA as usual and get into a game, not Dayz, just Arma vanilla. Close it down and try Dayz, should be ok. If not i can help in an hour or so, PM me and we can do it on Skype.

Okay i just tried to join a regular arma 2 oa server and it worked! But when i join a dayz server it just crashes and still says in the chat invalid cd key

Edit: going to re-download and install it and see if it will work then

Okay i just re-downloaded arma 2 oa and went onto vanilla and it worked but when i joined a dayz server when i got onto where it says receiving i crashed

also when i verify the integrity cache it says 1 file to be reacquired and nothing happens

Ok we're making progress. When you say it crashes, exactly what happens. If dayz says "Something went wrong try again" that's not crashing, you just need to wait 2-3 minutes.
As far as steam goes, just leave it it will acquire the file if necessary. Depending on the file size it has to acquire and the speed of your ISP it may take a while, I wouldn't play till its done. Then check lat.

It crashes in as in arma 2 oa has stopped working and il try let it see if it will download the file

Don't forget to check Arma 2 as well as OA.
