What am I doing wrong? :(

I've heard a lot of people say/write that the fastest way to max def on a character is through using a wizard to farm. I have a wizard with which I farm. It has a t9 staff t4 spell t10 robe and t3 def ring. I can mow down gods pretty quickly, but even after an hour of farming, all I get are like a def pot or 2 and 2-4 speed pots. What am i doing wrong thats preventing me from maxing out my def?

godlands pot drop rates are decent, not very high though.
just go farm abysses with the lava wall hack, if you are a clean player, well, just keep farming.

did that once, then found out the hacked client I was using did not have lava walls, I was lied to...

By this I assume you mean non client using / hacking?
If so then the opposite would mean you are referring to a client / hack user as a "dirty", player.
Ergo labeling the vast majority of this websites users and staff as "dirty" people.

Well, luck is only one variable, you can still optimize the amount of damage done per second. And if that's not enough, try multiboxing which multiplies the chances to a certain point.

Im getting pots faster than i can spend em.

You will average around 5-6 pots from godlands per hour.
This does not count you going into dungeons.

Farm Sprites and if you are good enough Abyss' until you get what you need.
Farming from scratch is not very easy.

Just farm sprites and sell the dex pots (or drink them) for def (3:1). It's really easy with a wizzy because you can stand outside his range.

Your not doing anything wrong but ever since the lower drops in Glands, Dungeon farming is much easier. Join a fairly good guild that can run abysses, Kill your wizzy(keep it equips). Now play knight and get decent equips from your wizzys equipment. Ask guildies to help you do abyss then you will get loads of vitality and def pots! Hope this helped have a fun time
