Need a new headset

Need a new headset, preferable in the $20-$30 zone, or cheaper if they dont suck total nutsack

Any suggestions?

Don't think you're going to get anything worthwhile in that price range.

Do you need a mic?

Over here the Gamescom 780's are £30 but I don't know about 'Murica, it'll probably be around $40 or $50 but it will be worth it by a longshot, that headset is amazing.

The turtle beaches x12 are pretty cheap.

I used to have those, they were good but not a set that I'd recommend.

They are good for their price, upgrading isn't an issue for me but I will just stick with these for a while.

If you don't need a mic then grab some Koss KSC75's. After you get over the fact that they're clip-on headphones you'll realize they aren't that bad for gaming. Chuck in a desktop mic and you have a pretty decent set up that will be better than a Turtle Beach Z2 or a SS Siberia V1. But to be honest you aren't going get a great soundstage or accurate audio cues without spending more money.

My budget is pretty tight, so I may just just a $10 pair of headphones and use the mic on my old headset

The wiring is bugging out, so either I get sound out of one ear only or I get very quiet sounds out of both. Dont know if it affects the mic at all, some say my mic gets choppy at times tho.

Just save, don't buy something that is shit cause you will just end up hating it.

Save some money and buy a quality product.

Since your range is 20-30 like mine was at the time. I bought fatality gaming headset.

I've had them for 6-8 months. Still good sound quality and the mic is really fine.

I take care of it. I never remove the attachable mic that comes with it.

The extra money is going to better sound/mic quality, more robust build and possibly more comfort so I'd think about saving once to get a headset for 3 years instead of buying one that breaks after 10-12 months.

Ok guys, thanks for the suggestions im going to do some research into what ones i like a bit later

right now im busy fighting and loosing a war against this one spider i've been chasing for 3 days around my house
