I am a super new coder.
Like, I don't know anything about coding, but I would love to learn. My dream job is to work at Valve Corporation, hopefully as a coder or software engineer. I'd prefer coder. Any tutorials or anything to get me started?
If you want to Work at a Company/Corporation like that, you should Learn through a Course/School.
You need Academic Proof to get a Job in this kind of Profession.
There are plenty of Tutorial's I could link you too, but I'm saying you Learn through Schooling or something along those Lines
I'm doing my apprenticeship as a "Computerscience-Expert Subject: Softwaredevelopment". After i did my apprenticeship I planned to apply for a job at a gamestudio and it all started with something simple (HTML -- I know it's no programminglanguage but it got me intrested in that kind of stuff), afterwards I learned PHP and C# (also the mainlanuage my company uses to write applications), after a few years I began to learn c++. Now I'm looking into reverse engineering and assembler etc.

So I'd recommend to start something easy, like C#, which is pretty good imo to start, because the syntax is almost the same as in C++ and you can build useful applications with it.

Hope this helps,

Or you start with something funny like BrainFck xD
If you have done no coding before i would suggest learning VB.NET or C#, the reason i say this is it will allow you to focus on learning the mind set of a programming. Using logic and simple math to solve everyday problems without having to worry about the extra stuff like memory management, pointers and a host of other things that you will natural find a use for as you learn more and more.

First start by learning the basics and make a simple hello world application

once you have that down find a project, start small make a small text based game or a calculator. The best thing to do is just get stuck in as soon as possible download Visual Studio (a program that helps your write code and turn it in to a program) and start following some tutorials on MSDN. MSDN is a great resource to learn so much about programming.

I did try and post a bunch of links on here on where to download visual studio and a set of tutorials from the MSDN but it seems i cant cus i am a new member. just google msdn and install Visual Studio 2012 Desktop Edition

maybe i could pm you some direct links to MSDN Microsoft developer network to help you get started, if you want them drop me a pm requesting them and i will reply.
google cplusplus, good website.
