Aren't modules a guaranteed ban now?

He's obviously only testing his stuff. Probably not on a public server, so no bypasser needed.

I would recommend making a small lua file with require("modulename") in the first line and then something that executes the lua function you created in the module blue.
Basically you don't run modules, you make lua functions with them which you then run through lua.
If your module is serverside then just go in a singleplayer game and type "lua_openscript <path to the lua file you created relative to the loa folder>
If it's clientside remember to type "sv_allowcslua 1" in the console first as cs lua is disabled by default. Then you do the same as you would do with a serverside module but use "lua_openscript_cl" instead.

You put binary modules in "lua/bin" because garry had to change it or else garry's mod would break entirely if he didn't fuck up everything in a single update.
