Never heard of a GT 240 :\ and Skyrim is mostly GPU based so the cpu and ram don't have to be that big :\

Proof please. Otherwise it didn't happen. Even if you did buy a new computer you should still have the old one.

I didn't buy a new computer, I scrapped the parts from my old one and put new parts in. Basically everything is new except the case.
