D; Launcher Problem

Hey, i decided to try out crossfire as it looks like a really good game. But the launcher for it doesn't work. I get this message when i double click the Crossfire Desktop icon (which is set by default to launch as administrator) :'crossfirePT_launcher has stopped working' I click check solution and close the program and it tells me that 'Data Execution Prevention' has closed it to apparently protect my computer. I've tried Allowing it through my firewall, i've reinstalled the game twice and i'm all out of answers.

I can however launch the game by going into the game directory and clicking the 'patcher_cf' application where i can go and play the game. But, the reason i'm posting my problem here on this forum is because i want to use injectors to hack my game . I've tried a variety of injectors and .dll files and they won't work. My guess is that the .dll file isn't familiar with me launching the game with the 'patcher_cf' thing. the usual message that the hacks are supposed to display aren't showing up.

If anyone could resolve my problem/s, i'd be very greatful. Cheers

I'm also running windows vista 32-bit if anyone wants to know
