I have cs:go and garrys mod, and no more room in hell. Do I need to get half life 2 episode 1 or 2 or whatever to play garrys mod? Or is having no more room in hell good enough?

If you have NMRIH, then you obviously have Valve Source, which is what's actually required. Besides, you'd be provided with everything you need once you buy GMod.
