Prevent DCMA?

So I got my first DCMA complaint the other day, I couldn't find the right domain for TPB so I downloaded from Yify's site directly. Later on the next day or so my Internet gets shut off and when it FINALLY went back up my access was blocked and all requests were re-direted to a page my ISP set up to bitch at me for doing something wrong

Anyway, the report had information on the file name, my IP, md5sum of the file, how I obtained the file and when I did so. All I had to do was read a TOS page and click on agree to get my Internet back up. My isp wanted me to remove the file so from there I changed the location, name, md5sum and meta headers or the file so that if they some how scan my computer for it the chances of finding it (based on the data they had before hand) is slim to none.

Anyway, what would you guys do if one day you got a DCMA complaint? How would you prevent future issues?

Thats why I use file hosting sites and premium link generators.

The safest thing to do is to have a VPN. Most VPN's cost a few dollars a month but I've been using Anomos for about a year and no DCMA complaint yet. I download my torrents from the deep web TPB also for safety reasons.

It's DMCA, Digital Millennium Copyright Act, not DCMA. Sorry for my pedanticism.

I use a VPN at all times while torrenting. I recommend mullvad or another paid one (currently using camolist), the free ones suck ass and are willing to give your logs over to officials when asked.

No, I'm not an asshole that slows down the entire network.

Im in brasil, everything is free. They dont spy on you and they dont complain.

I use TPB all the time and I've never had a complaint from my ISP, I do use a proxy however so that may be why.

I dont use any security measures atm. But never got any prooblems.
Probably try using a vpn, how to do so?

I torrent fine off my internet - no proxy, vpn, etc. What ISP do you have? I'm assuming Verizon since they're the ones who often do this sort of schemes. Anyways, your best argument would be that an unauthorized user accessed your WiFi and you had no control or knowledge of this until now.
