What'd you prefer?
What'd you prefer out of a few common applications?
Online storage
Screenshot Sharing
Image Editing
Video Editing
Documents
Music/Video
Gaming
I'll list what i use and reasons why below.
For online storage i use dr0pbox as it was around before Googledrive and is a lot better. I'd probably still be using skydrive if they had a mobile/desktop app earlier.
For screenshot sharing i use puu.sh as a few of my friends use it and it's simple as fuck to use. It's also pretty advanced and all. A lot of people i know use gyazo but i think it's crap. I only found tiny grab yesterday and it seems promising. Almost like puu.sh but with a better gui.
For image editing i use paint.net, i have all of the editors i listed but i prefer paint.net as it's easy to use and simple as fuck. Most of the editing i do doesn't need anything too complicated anyway. Also paint.net has a fairly active community with heaps of support and plugin help.
For video editing i use after effects as i learnt to do it originaly for youtube videos and montages. It's fairly advanced and has heaps of shit that you can do.
I use word now as i got a torrented version easy as fuck that auto updates. However, before that i used OpenOffice.org as it's free and supports like everything.
VLC is the best for watching movies and has the most support for like every file type. good as fuck. For music i use itunes (i fucking hate apple) only because of how easy it is to sort and shit, i used windows media player for ages but can't be bothered anymore.
And for gaming, i use steam the most. But i have origin as i got that darn humble bundle.
TLDR: what variants of programs do you use. i use: Dropb0x, puush, paint.net, after effects, VLC, itunes, msword.
