Failed to download version.ini
Well after no problems for like 6 months right after the shadow mode patch came out i got an error that told me "failed to download version.ini" whenever i clicked start. I reinstalled it maybe 3 or 4 times restarted my computer and everything so i just gave up when i couldn't find a solution. So now i figured since it's been like 2 months it has to be fixed now right? Well i still get the same problem "failed to download version.ini" i've added crossfire to my firewall exemptions list and my antivirus exemption list, ran it as administrator, and have tried reinstalling several more times but nothing seems to work. I looked at the Crossfire folder right after it installed and didn't see a version.ini, but after i pressed start on the launcher and it gave me the error i went back and checked that it just put an empty version.ini in the folder. Whenever i try putting what's supposed to be in the version.ini file without setting it to read-only it just automatically deletes itself. If it is set to read-only i get 1 of 3 errors. I get the usual, or i get something like "Wrong version. Please reinstall using latest game patch." (which i am"), or i get something that says "Invalid version. Please reinstall using latest game patch." I'm trying to play CFNA. If someone could tell me what i'm doing wrong or how to fix it or if someone could just post the latest patch that would be great.
