Failed to download version.ini

I really need help i went online and changed the files from this thread "h t t p : / / w w w . m p g h . n e t / f o r u m / s h o w t h r e a d . p h p ? t = 4 6 5 7 2 7" (remove quotes and spaces and still dont want to work any one who can help?

Don't change your files.

Either download version.ini and out in your crossfire folder or reinstall crossfire(if you're going to reinstall make sure you delete the folder)

Exactly what i did. Still dont want to work.

A clean install will fix this problem but copy paste this into your version.
