Learning to code
Hey everyone! I don't believe I've ever made an appearance on MPGH so this is a great time for me to introduce myself. I'm mburgnon, I'm new to coding, not new to gaming, idk what else to put so yea. Anyways, I'm new to coding and I'm just starting to learn C# on visual studios 2013 and so far I've made a few very simple console programs with colors and stuff. I'm just wondering if you guys have any tips and tricks for a new guy? I plan on being on here a lot so expect to see more of me.

Thanks,
mburgnon

(p.s. sorry if I posted in the wrong area, I just didn't know where else to put it :P)
i have some books too but to be honest , i never have read through any of them.
all i know about coding and programming is what i got from learning by doing.

i cant remember to 100% but when i started i was sitting there , Visual Studio installed and the idea to make a webbrowser based off chromium.
(wow what uniquie idea)
well when i got stuck somewhere i did research. then on the next thing where i got stuck .. research again.
You will learn from things you try to figure out and sometimes you can reach your goal in a way noone else did before and thats the point when you can say you learned something
reading a book is the best way to get the basics down, then just practice and use online resources
this guy has a whole video tutorial series on c#

simply search buckysroom on google then navigate your way through ther , its under the compsci section, under comp programmin
