VAC/GAC detection risk / Memory editing
Hi. I have a question regarding cheating in Garry's Mod.
Q) Would I get VAC (or) GAC banned for writing/editing a value in the memory of the game using Visual Basic .NET?
More specificly using kernel32.WriteProcessMemory to change the sv_allowcslua convar flags.
I have read the "Guide to: Start Hacking on Garry's Mod" thread on this forum about how you will only get VAC banned for using Baconbot. But it sounds very unlikely to me that you wouldn't get banned for using Cheat Engine to change values.
