Needing help with my Phat PS3 hacking
I am new to this idea of jailbreaking, as you will be able to tell. I have no idea what to do or what abbreviations that will be mentioned. I have read several threads and responses by some of you and I am still lost. I have owned a Phat PS3 for 5 years now and want to downgrade it. I have a good understanding of computers but haven't ever hacked into anything. I do use a cheat engine on my PC. Can someone lend a hand?

Well first off if you want to downgrade it you need an e3 flasher or progskeet (not recommend requires alot of soldering) and when you have that you can follow my guide here (The Video is for the fat and the text guide is for the slim) http://www.mpgh.net/forum/showthread.php?t=893503

It allows you to downgrade ps3 just an fyi make sure you have a HDD dock that supports ESATA as your ps3 hdd will be connected externally since the e3 flasher is connected threw the HDD space

What's an ESATA and a HDD? And where can I get an e3 flasher that's legit?

and ESATA is a type of USB or SD port look it up and you'll see what it looks like

Once I have my PS3 jailbroken, how do I use whatever hacks I want to use?

You install threw a usb like you would upload a save data to your PS3 its quite easy really. What "hacks" are you looking to install i could find some videos for you if you would like

I really don't know all the hacks I could have. I have seen wall hacks and god mode but I'm sure there are more. I just don't want to get reported to PSN or whatever so anything I use will be minimal. Can the hacks be turned on and off during play?
