Need Help.

In need of some recording/video help.
I am starting youtube videos, I would like a video recording software/game recording software that DOESNT LAG PC, and HAS SMALL FILE SIZES. The program can both be paid and free.
Programs i've tried.

FRAPS
BANDICAM
OBS
D3DGEAR
CAMTASIA RECORDER/STUDIO 8

^
None of these work for me. Here's some computer specs incase anyone was wondering, if anyone can refer me a good program.

Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5800 @ 3.20 GHz 3.20 GHz

I also need a compression software, that can compress files. Like a video editor of some type AND A GOOD ONE!

Try Nvidia Shadowplay from Nvidia Exp. programm

if you have a nvidea gpu use shadowplay and try OBS or something

Here is the main thingy to know:

Your game WILL lagg if you save the recorded temp file to the SAME drive as the one the game is on.
-Depending on your disk write/read speed aswell

Mainly you want to use two seperate drives for games and recording. And fraps isn't known for small files.
May I ask what game you're going to record?

Also, lower some settings can contribute to better performance.

Well xSplit has small filesizes and doesn't lag to much however it is not very good for editing it renders in mp3 so hard edit

What you're describing is a magical program that doesn't exist, unless you want terrible quality.

Dxtory is your best bet.

OT- I have a USB drive 16gb I can try recording to that and see if it makes a difference. Ill also try Dxtory to record.

Use Action ! for Recording and Camtasia For Editing.They are both Very Awesome and great for recording while gaming.

OT: I don't have any suggestions, normally Camtasia works smoothly for me.

His time of how long he was gone is extremely cringe-worthy.

Alright due to your specs, you may not be able to record videos very well. How much RAM does your computer have, and what GPU are you using?
A duo-core processor tends to lack the power to run a game and record the game at the same time. I have personal experience with this issue, dual core CPU's can't process as many things and as fast as a multi-core CPU can.

I would recommend Fraps, as I personally have used it without problems.

With a duo-core processor the best you are gonna get is maybe something around 15-25fps record on the lowest settings your game can go. Or in some cases, like recording League of Legends for example, I can record probably around a good 20-40fps with fraps. I have a duo-core myself although its 2.70 GHz.

Fraps is simple and records well, I recommend using the full version. Although, small file sizes may be hard to attain.
