Honestly recording software can only do so well based on your specs. If you are experiencing lag with all recording programs, try upgrading your pc, or just buy a capture card and record console gaming. Just a suggestion o3o
If something as simple as bandicam lags your pc it's time to get a new cpu

A duo-core processor tends to lack the power to run a game and record the game at the same time. I have personal experience with this issue, dual core CPU's can't process as many things and as fast as a multi-core CPU can.

I would recommend Fraps, as I personally have used it without problems.

With a duo-core processor the best you are gonna get is maybe something around 15-25fps record on the lowest settings your game can go. Or in some cases, like recording League of Legends for example, I can record probably around a good 20-40fps with fraps. I have a duo-core myself although its 2.70 GHz.

Fraps is simple and records well, I recommend using the full version. Although, small file sizes may be hard to attain.
Here my GPU Info

Alright, well I do recommend you get a quad-core processor. Preferably Intel, Intel is the way to go when it comes to Desktops. I also recommend at least 6GBs of ram, that is plenty and you don't really need anymore than that unless you are streaming. If you have the money, I would also think about picking up a Nvidia GPU, like a 780 at least.

LOL. You want him to stick an old ass GPU into his computer?

Not to mention, Intel + Nvidia fanboy much?

Whoops, I meant a 970. And no, I'm not a fanboy. For what I do on a daily basis, Intel and Nvidia is the way to go. ATI/AMD aren't my preference anymore.

So don't say Intel is the best for everything.

You don't have experience in "everything" so don't lead the OP off.

I would respect you more if you didn't tell me what or what not to do, but rather recommend what I should have done instead.
Also, I didn't say Intel was the best for everything. I simply said, its the way to go when it comes to Desktops. I am unsure where you are getting that I do or do not have experience in "everything" as I never said that either. I have used ATI GPUs and AMD processors previous to my switch to Intel and Nvidia, I was simply just saying that ATI/AMD is no longer a preference of mine.

I'm not looking for respect.

I'm looking to find people who think Intel and Nvidia are the kings of the computer industry, and call them out.

Ahh, well I don't believe in there being kingmanship in really any industry. There is no best company in any industry, in my opinion. It's simply competition, and it is always changing. Some products work better for certain situations, some don't. It's not about names or cost, its about what's the best option for what you need or in some cases, what you want.
