I text chatted with NVIDIA support the other day about problems I've been having with my GTX 980. After talking for about 20 minutes trying to troubleshoot, they finally came to the conclusion that my graphics card is defective. They told me that they don't know if they could replace a reference graphics card, and they'd get back to me within 24 hours if they could. About 4 days later they got back to me and said that they could try... Try? So I gave them my shipping information and all the required information, but I couldn't answer one thing. My grandparent who I was with when I bought this card held onto the receipt (I don't know how to keep track of things) and she passed away on Saturday. Unfortunately they need the purchase date and a picture copy of the receipt when I told them multiple times that I couldn't provide that information because her house is under wraps and they won't let anyone enter or remove any "evidence" from her house. What the hell am I supposed to do about this?
I could try to make a receipt for you if you like? Just give me all the information about the card and where you bought it. Find it online and give me the link with the price.
I have to go to man but if you give me all the details I can get it done tomorrow, my time which is during the night for you.
Sorry for the loss of your grandparent.
That's really awful timing.
I think you should f2f with them. btw sorry for the loss of your grandparent.
Sorry for the lost of your grandmother. I would either wait it out or get someone to make a receipt for me
