Hello, just wondering if anyone knows of any good recording software that can record desktop & a game if the game was in windowed mode.

1. Nvidia shadowplay 2. DxTory 3. Obs Local Recording Been doing Gameplay videos for 3+ years trust meh 
I use Shadow Play but rarely use it
I've used many game recording software. The best "I recommend" would be 1. OBS 2. DxTory 3. Bandicam. << Only ones that worked for me.
just use obs, its normaly for streaming but you can also save it as a vid.
