SolvedQuestion regarding packets and packet sniffing

So I recently talked to this guy who claimed that he had friends who were "programmers". He introduced me to one of the "programmers" and I asked a couple of questions regarding the program. Basically, the core concept of the entire program is that it lets the user send packets and receive any item as long as the correct packet code is used (that is what I was told by the guy who claimed that he wrote the program).

My question is, does this, in theory, work? I mean, I've never seen any users on this site use such codes and most of the packet codes that I see nowadays are outdated codes. The guy I was talking to claimed that he used this so called "program" to get the following items:

- Dual Champion Blade of Nulgath
- Sepulchure Doomknight Armor
- Dark Caster X
- Blinding Light of Destiny
- Drakath Armor

Now, I'm not saying that I'm a god at programming or anything, but I highly doubt that this guy used packet codes to get those items, although theoretically it should work if you used a packet sniffer to get the packets for the items mentioned above.

Doubt it's possible. AQW's security isn't entirely shit, just very low-key and limited.

They're full out bullshitting, or they're stupid enough to think that getDrop packets actually give them said items.

Or there has been big changes in the game/hacking scene since I stopped paying attention, but I highly doubt that.

They are most definitely talking about getDrop which doesn't give you the item but only picks it up for you if it is a drop/has dropped. To find packets, use WPE pro and sniff. Thats how i used to get my XP boost codes(use)

Something similar to me happend this week, by mere coincidence I joined Yulgar-9999 and there was this "programmer" who said to have found out a bug to get Chronocorruptor (went rare a loong time ago) again. His only items was No Class and some random sword. He was asking to send a specific package in Dark Mystic to get the class and said it would work. Turns out it was just a regular badge spammer and my friend got a 24h ban.

90% of said "programmers" are just full of shit
