by its self skyrim is a good game. i own it on pc and 360 and have a few hundred hours worth of time invested. but compared to morrowind and oblivion skyrim is a shitty game with dumbed down mechanics. only thing that I liked about skyrim over the formers was the duel wielding. not to mention the story lines were a lot shorter.

Everyone says the same thing "The mechanics are dumbed down" when I have played both games and they are the fucking same. You have to be picking through the game with a comb to find a reason to hate on it. By both games, I mean Skyrim and Oblivion.

Skyrim is just very different from the rest of TES, looking at it alone, it's a great game. That's all that matters.

I think it's the opposite, bethesda turned its back on the earlier TES games and had the courage to try something new, which worked out.

Oblivion has a completley different style of gameplay when it comes to:
Aesthetics
Combat
Level design

All in all, it's very different from the older TES games.

Nobody is finding reasons to hate anything. Think about what you're saying and what I said.

And no, they're not even in the same league. That's like saying fo3 and fo4 will be the same game. So what would be the point in buying and playing it if it's the same?

Actually yeah, Skyrim was no different. So far the gameplay in Fallout 4 was pleasing in about every way. Lip syncing is cancer and the HUD color is vomit, but the overall gameplay seems to take a new twist on everything. Animations improved a lot, commands are actually useful, and everything else is great. Playing Fallout Shelter right now.

Also lol @ TES cardgame.

i know i cannot wait it is going to be so fun that mobile app looks pretty cool as well.
