Need Assitance
Got a job pays like $500+ a week

got like 1.5k in the bank atm

got a car worth about 5k

wanting to buy a car worth 11k

a 5k loan costs me $100 Per month over 5 years

I average without expenses 2k a month

$2,000
- $100 (5k Loan)
- $150 (fuel)
- $80 (Food Average)

= $1670 Per Month

So with my current job i know i can easily pay off this loan

just curious however,

if i sell my car soon i wont have to pay the incomming maintenance its gonna need within 20,000ks so was consdering just selling now and upgrading,

inventory after sale

5k (Car sale)
+
1.5k (current)
+
5k (loan)

= 11.5k

thinking i should take out a bigger loan just to cover any additional expenses and would rather have too much money and give back money to the bank if my income/ what my loan costs is stable,

just curious on what u peasents think i should do, some of u fucks have good ideas suggestions etc

or should i pay the maintenance on my current car and still only be able to sell it for 5k but save up for another couple of months?

not sure what to do :S

hit me up with your ideas kthxbai
Or, how about you save up enough money so you can buy the car with cash? Your loan just isn't going to be "$100/month" you have to pay interest, you also have added expenses like, repairs, or maintenance. What if you get into an accident? Welp, your insurance just went up. Oh look at that, your insurance won't cover those $4k fees to fix your car? Well, you're fucked.

Stick with your current car. I'd imagine you're pretty young, so taking a loan out so early is really going to fuck with your future years. Wait until you have a real job, then think about buying another car.

yeah im guessing thats gonna be the best course of action just saving up 10k or saving up 7k and selling
nah $100 a month is the rate in which you have to pay the loan. there is no added costs etc.

You have to pay interest though. I highly doubt your Bank will let you go with 0%.
Dont take loans unless you need a loan badly, taking a load for a "cooler" car isint smart, if you already have a working car dont take a car loan, being loan free is the best thing when your month starts.
Anybody who values money and has a usable car wouldn't go take out a loan for a "cooler" one.
My friend did something similar, bought a 30k bmw while he's only 19, though he didn't get a loan but pays the car monthly.

Are you buying a second hand vehicle with your current cash+a bank loan? That doesn't seem smart
If you're gonna get a loan you might aswell wait and get a full loan rather than a 5k loan nagging you for the monthly pay.
Waste of money imo.
Is the new car a want or a need? Think about this first. 1.5k in bank is not a lot of money. The fact you made this thread shows you have concern too. I suggest selling your car and getting something around the same price that doesn't have problems.
