Is this good for learning programming?

idk if i should learn from books, its just like reading always the same, because i know the basics i just should find out how to improve now,i guess i should start using winapi or soemthing, what do you think?

if you already know all the basics then you don't need to watch any video or read a book. creating cheats is a bit more advanced and very extended. so for now i would say that's not a good idea
start by creating actual applications. simple useful tools or even basic games.
ones you get the hang of it then move to advanced stuff. MSDN will be your friend

Without googling it: Make your own dynamically allocated char*.
Read the user input into a std::string, copy the std::string into the char* (you have to make your own function to do it), and then print your char*. Don't forget to free the dynamic memory before exiting.

(hint: char *myVar; is wrong)

Need to know pointers, new, and delete.

If you want to start coding in order to learn how to cheat in video games you have to obtain some language experience.
You can't just jump right into it unless you're starting off with someone else's code.
From scratch you have to learn at least 1-2 languages to get the hang of how programming works.

Lol I know the basic of C++, but I didn't learn about dynamically allocated @dex73r123 trust me, reading from a book is the best way to learn. When you read from a book, you are storing what you read in your memory it become easy to
remember when you are programming. I know how you feel right now, you just want to go to winapi then directx and start making cool d3d hack. It's not that easy.
One of the best c++ book I have ever read is teach yourself c++ in 21 day.

I made the wrong move couple of years ago I dive into winapi and directx and started making crosshair without truly understanding the basic of C++ like pointer,switch etc.
It end up biting me in the back.

but whats the point of reading what i already know? everytime i see a book, you start with useful things(basics) but usually you end up with just shits literally

If you know and understand C++ then learn about the WinAPI, which is what you're going to be doing for game hacking. If you know WinAPI then you can find basic tutorials for game hacking and understand them without having to post on a forum "Is this good for learning for programming?" And from there you can find more advanced source code, decipher it, understand it, use their methods to better your code and write more diverse hacks.
