That's because modding is editing the client thus it is client sided. Just because it looks like it works does not mean it does.

Over powered mod? Wth does it really matter what a mod looks like? Honestly, would you rather have a nooby looking default or something epic like a mini-gun? There is no limit to modding. But on the other hand there is a limit to hacking.
