Me and Vista have a bad history together. Whenever I used Vista, my PC seemed to routinely shit itself and freeze up.

The problem with Vista was the same as with any OS of a new generation - people and manufacturers hate doing things the new way. Especially with the drastic changes made to the core of the OS (the transition to user mode drivers, a proper 64 bit system & all the changes regarding the privileges etc.) the system was horrible to use for the first few months, and even after a year it wouldn't be that uncommon to see bsods come from shitty drivers and/or specific program implementations. And that reputation kinda got stuck. Not to mention that they coupled this change with a UI resigned too -- just imagine Windows 8, but with the instability of the first Vista installations. Can you feel that hate? It doesn't go away that fast.

This thread is random as fuck, but it's very true.

After SP1, Vista had exceptional functionality. All the problems in it were fixed, and it was a pretty solid OS. It also never really gave me issues even before SP1, it served me well for many years. :P

I use windows 7 and I like it, but Vista was also 100% fine for me.

I mean, With SP2, it's pretty much functions the same as Windows 7.

I find it strange because when I used windows Vista, I had less crashes and blue screens than I did on windows 7. I've used Vista from 2007-2011, and I can count the blue screens on 1 hand, while with Windows 7 I've had more blue screens than I can count on both hands combined.

With windows vista all you needed was a good computer, and it ran like a charm.

    what?
because windows vista was gay just like yourself

Windows Vista wasn't that bad imo. Did what it should do. W7 is way better though.

Slow, takes up too many resources, bad driver support. List goes on...

The only reason to why you feel vista is working better than 7 is because your computer is most likely not up to speed.
In other words, it's not strong enough to run windows 7 properly and therefore you feel as if windows vista is better - but the truth is.
    Windows 7 > Vista

And I swear, if you took the time to google some comparisons of the two you'd see why it's better.
    Here's just a quick example I found.

You could could also check out this.
