So after completing my 200 days of sobriety last week and finally obtaining my second white chip, i filled out a form for NA Sponsorship, waiting for someone to want a sponsor. left my phone number etc, im gonna have to have meetups with my eventual sponsee before i become his fully fledged sponsor. I am really excited as this is the next step of my road to sobriety as i must be a sober role model to those in need. I am re-reading the basic text and figuring out what to say to him/her because i feel like its a lot of responsibility, especially going to school and all. Its my duty to acclimate my newbie to the 12 step program which is actually really hard, im encouraged not to give suggestions etc since they are supposed to find their higher power and they have to be actually willing to give in. On tuesday i saw a bunch of new comers that came from a Residential Treatment center over in Beaverton i think, some of them as young as like 14. Im hoping one of them is willing to open up to me and get comfortable so i can sponsor them. This is huge for me and for my parents too who almost gave up on me, im gonna make sure this kid doesn't relapse and do the same mistakes i have done, it really pains me to see a kid that was my age when i started wind up in a NA meeting for hard drugs. It kinda reminds me of myself somehow. Thanks for being there for me when everyone else gave up and thanks to whoever one of u guys called my mom the day i OD'd and gave her the info on what happened you actually saved my life. Thanks for being mah friends. hehe ,3
