One more thing you could do in order to try and get more consciousness into your dreams is to, when you are trying to fall asleep.
Try to be as aware of your surroundings as you possibly can, I can and have been able to for a long time - to respond to people if they ask me shit when I'm sleeping.
And I'm very well aware that I am sleeping, which I call twilight state, as I'm sleeping but still awake.

So about 90% of the time I know if something is changing in my near vicinity. It's hard to explain, I should probably call it sound and air density.
Like, if you drop a quarter into a glass of water that is already full to that point that it will burst if you put anything else in there.

If that made any sense at all.

Yes, there are drugs that allows you to create a whole new world for yourself that you can enter into again next time you use it.
Although I'm fairly certain that it is in fact a bit more damaging to you than you'd suspect.
Just like if you take too much of a certain drug i.e. one that makes you happy you damage your bodies receptors so that it will become harder for you to feel happy or even slightly "up" towards stuff you normally would.

If I'm not mistaken, LSD and Ecstasy may or may not have these effects as well.
Anything that causes enhanced or excessive amounts of dopamine.

I did not intend to live past 80 anyway, I already do drugs, drink and smoke.
Although I do all of this on a pretty good relation to moderation .

And my first lucid dream was a nightmare. Was running from a psychopath.
