Find IP adresses of players ?

Hello !

Yesterday, I've been ddos'ed by a guy who found my IP on a gmod server.

I want to give him the money back so I want to find his IP adress.

What have I to use ? Is it complicated ? Do I need wireshark ?

Just out of curosity by "give him the money back" do you mean payback? or maybe revenge anyways you need to get him in a steam call and use wireshark to find his IP, im sure there are tutorials here that can show you how to

I know this procedures, but I don't know how he found my IP adress without getting in my friendlist. I notice that he said my skype profile name. (Necessary ?)

I tried to DDoS some friends with LOIC but it's always me who is ddos'd.

The BEST Way that I found was add them on steam, get commview, open, start recording, say hi to him, start calling him, when his ip pops up on CommView it will be by "Steam.exe" then there ya go! wewt. That really is the easiest way. There are some resolvers out there but the person would have to be banned and half the time the ip's aren't even right so yeah have fun with that *****'s Ip
edit: forgot to tell you that once you see his ip pop up you can stop recording, and stop calling him, and also he doesn't even have to answer

Its not a felony unless committed against a business or company. A private IP is fine.

People are able to get your IP through skype as well. A lot of people will encourage only adding people that you know, and/or trust.
