What programming language to learn?

I don't know if it's needed or not, but I want to learn the programming language used in RotMG/private server making so I can start making mine.
At the moment I'm learning JavaScript, but I don't know if that's the right language or not.

Hurts my heart to say this, but all of the pserver sources (That I know of, there are some exceptions) are made in C#, so that's the language you should learn to relate to pservers.

Sidenote: Who is going to make a vb.net source come on.

ill convert all fsod c# to vb.net just for you

Does that include customization? That is, items, sprites, music, monsters, dungeons, drop rates, etc.
Silly edit: I would like to try to make my own source too.

You should use as3 bare bones source

Java is def good to begin as you'll understand the logic. After you understand that then you could easily transition to C#.
