What programming language to learn?

I don't know if it's needed or not, but I want to learn the programming language used in RotMG/private server making so I can start making mine.
At the moment I'm learning JavaScript, but I don't know if that's the right language or not.

Does that include customization? That is, items, sprites, music, monsters, dungeons, drop rates, etc.

You should use as3 bare bones source

Java is def good to begin as you'll understand the logic. After you understand that then you could easily transition to C#.
