Dumb question, how does VAC detect injectors?

Khm, this is a very stupid question but I've been wondering, how does VAC detect injectors? I know for a fact that they get detected so basically using a "detected injector" can get you VAC/UT banned but I was wondering, does it scan the signature/pattern like it does with cheats OR does it scan the injection method? I know that this sounds super stupid but I was just curious

No im being serious, im curious how an injector would get detected because somebody keeps telling me that an injector can never get detected which I think is bs cuz plenty of injectors are detected :v
