Save File modifications

Hello,

We all know that hacking in a Game is always a risk, no matter what you hack. With that beeing said let's continue:

Today i got permanently banned on DBD after 2k hours Playtime. I bought the Game last Year (before the offical Legacy got stopped) Since my Achievments are not legit because of modified data i have a private Profile.

After i got banned i had a Conversation with the DBD moderator that banned me. She said she had enought evidence that my Player Data is not legit.

So what could be Reasons for the Ban?

It's only speculating at this Point.

reasons for the ban could be:

- i played with the twitch Shirt several times

- Played with legacy Clothing (then again, i bought the game October,2016 which is a legit date to obtain legacy, legacy wasnt obtainable end of November as far as i know)

- modifed my save

So i modified my save with the Editor like most other people here, i even changed it to valid Dates ect to make it look legit.

TL;DR

I'm no fool. I never played with Clothing that wasnt obtainable/released or had my Profile public. They still banned me. Permananetly for save file modifications. My guess is that they are able to collect Player data no matter if you have a private profile or not, they can see what youre doing with your save file and what not. Of course they also collect reports from other Player that might report you. Playtime is also not safing you.

A good old friend also got banned for "hacking achievments" which he never did. He modified his save file in the same way as the current savegame editor do it for you, just he did it manually without a Tool.

His achievments are totally legit if you look it it, so that wasnt the Reason for his ban but well, he couldnt said he got banned by hacking his save file right...

i just want to warn other Cheaters that you should be more carefull with using anything now. The save file will be serversided soon and then Hacking in this Game will be alot harder anyways.

I dont think so, iv'e changed my own UserID before to stay anonymously, yes that's possible.. I'm no retard and share my ID to other People.

David Ze did it also with my save file which he included in his savegame editor called "sample"

It's not the save file.. If that would be the Case alot more people would already report that they get banned.

My friend haved another problem - lost your progress two times. He haved 3k+ hours in this game.
Mad wrote to the devs that if they can't secure the progress and he must to make backup of it, then he will hack and do not want to see any ban on your account.
Since then, it has been half a year since, and has not banned him, although he has officially said he will do it.

Personally, I think that since the game is b2p you should have access to everything.

Everytime i used the Editor i Turned it off.

So should I delete the save?

Just to rule this out I downloaded your LegitSave you uploaded in topic 1301277.
According to the JSON the UserID is EFFD2F0B01001001.

It is easy to decode this hex string into an actual steam id by the following process:

Probably it I also saw this profile getting exposed on a steam dbd forum thread, some guy had screenshots that proofed that it was not legit, I found the thread but the things that the guy who exposed hure said was gone probably deleted by the mods or some shit.

Yeah it's my Profile. I think i screwed it.
I guess they only do this process if they have evidence that someone could not use a legit file. Otherwise it would too much work for them.

i Do not really care about its not fun without best addons and best perks . So there are only 2 possibilities hacked items or not playing

DBD Have many volunteers moderators who contact to devs and give bans. In my opinion this is a bit of abuse of power. We need to be careful...

RIP hure, that sucks man. A ton of people benefited from your save file, so your ban isn't in vain.
DBD goes on sale quite often, just take a break and come back when you feel like it.
