Apple TV+

Anyone try out Apple TV+ yet? Not a lot of stuff on it yet I think, but the things on it seem pretty good at first glance. I just got a 1 year free trial after buying an iPad recently. Seems like it's priced competitively lower than Netflix too. What you guys think?

Lately I find myself not using Netflix. I just don't see any interesting content anymore, well at least I'm not paying for it.

Yeah I feel the same, I think I end up spending more time trying to find something to watch on Netflix and just end up settling for something mediocre most of the time.

Apple's shows selection looks too limited to me. Netflix on the other hand has many more interesting and exclusive shows. Lucifer, Dark, Castlevania etc.
Also Netflix automatically wins cause it has The Office lol

It's been less than a year since Apple TV+ started so I'm assuming that's why they don't have a lot of stuff yet, but I think all the stuff they have seems really good

Lol I got 1 year from my new iPhone as well. I haven't activated it yet. But will do. Lemme know if you find some amazing stuff to watch on it. It seems to have a wide variety of stuff. You could check out Truth Be Told and For all mankind imo

So far I've seen Greyhound and The Banker, both were great movies

Gonna watch em all XD

I think Hulu is probably the best for shows and anime’s aside from crunchyroll etc. Apple TV didn’t look too good to me, and Netflix gets old after a couple months.

I definitely wouldn't have subscribed on my own, only using it since they gave it for 1 year free.

I would, but the fact that I wasn't able to get the 1 year "promotional" (code) ? due to fact that oddly enough my debit card isn't being accepted even though they specifically said on twitter and the link that it should be.

I'm not saying that the shows are bad; they are made by apple and expected to be of high quality. I think that you don't hear people chatting about the shows on Apple TV+ because not many people have the service. I also only have it from buying an apple product recently. I don't really use it but I haven't given it a fair chance either.

After the two movies I saw I started watching For All Mankind, I kinda like it so far too. I'm usually hesitant to give stuff a try on Netflix, but like you said because of the high quality expected by Apple, I gave this and the content a try.

I got a year sub from buying a new macbook, its just okay really. They have a really good selection of cast members like the reboot of Amazing stories. I got disney+ from verizon for free aswell and I would argue it offers more. Apple does do a good job at having multiple channels and multiple types of content on the apple tv so in that case i give it a plus. Ive been using Sling more, HBO MAX, and just normal youtube. I got one of those 1k tvs with a Marantz AV and bowers and wilkins speakers so everything in my tv is upscaled to 4k UHD with true to source audio, so for me I shop for services that offer the biggest selection of atmos or 4k hdr content, and personally Amazon prime video has done a good job with their content, aswell as some netflix shows. However nothing really beats having a private plex server with updated rips
