Notebook Issue
So...whenever I start my notebook it keeps spamming me with:

Windows 7 x64 Bit
6GB Ram
i5 processor 430m

Application Warning:

Application cannot be executed. The file * is infected. Do you want to remove it?

* = anything from explorer.exe to any other process

No matter what I do or start, this always comes up. I cannot execute anything.

I went to secure mode to do a system recovery. However, I cannot do such in secure mode. And I can't get to do a system recovery in normal mode.

Currently, the pc is RANDOMLY shutting down(even in secure mode).

CCleaner did not help at all.

Help is very appreciated.

umad?

Sorry man, I don't have any experience in virus removal
Then
1. launch in safe mode
2. copy all important files to usb
3. reformat PC
4. put important files back
5. ???
6. profit

Or you could launch in safe mode and see if start > run > msconfig works

Or maybe the viruses infected his important documents and pictures and then we he transfers he's screwed?
First get Xubuntu or Ubuntu and boot into the Live session (don't install, just select "Try" or something). This will give you access to your HDD and you can copy / backup important files.

Once you have everything backed up make some space for a new temporary install (guide) and get a small XP, install MS Security Essentials, Kaspersky and every other free trail AV you can find and scan your main OS. That's what I would do if safe mode doesn't work.

Better safe than sorry, and better waste some more time then a too little.

Edit: ahaha lol, the resizing image in my guide 404ed, here you have it reuploaded: http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/8284/gparted19.png
Got it to work. Removed some autostart crap and ran multiple virus scans.

However the internet isn't working anymore. It says connected but it refuses to connect to any site or anything else.
Check your hosts file, firewall, try killing anything you don't know... Maybe try monitoring your network and see what happens /
start IE even if you dont use it click Tools>Internet Option>Connections Tab>Lan Settings>uncheck "Use a proxy server for your Lan(these settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections). ... refresh page to se if it works

you probly had av security suit virus (had it 2 times this month) i can give you a link to a guide and downloads to take care of it if you need or just incase you get it again just pm me if you want them
