Better GPU performance?
It all depends on how hardcore you overclock it. You should be careful, and i would definitely read up on how to before you get started, If u overclock it to much, u can get serious damage.
Be a boss, hard mod the crap out of it, oc it and let it fry 
Nah, just give it a bit more juice and boost the clocks and you should get a bit of a performance gain.

I have like 6GB of RAM. But my laptop keeps getting overheated. No overclocking for me.

That's why they sell Coolers for Laptops, to help cool the shit outta them...
Only do it depending on the advantage,for mine,it was a 1 fps incease.
