I thought just changing the file name doesn't do shit.. tbh if i were you @crex, i would download sony vegas pro and youtube some good render settings.
Render it as .wmv and your good to go
When i recorded with fraps it was a file over 2 GB it rendered within 35 minutes

I always render in 1080p Full Hd, i end up with like 2gb - 6 gb vids.
If you have slow uploading speed convert it to something smaller using format factory, always works for me.
