Battlefield 3 Online help. PS3

First off, please move this thread to the correct section if this is wrong (had a look at the 'Battlefield Hacks' section and didn't help)

My mate bought BF3 for PS3 and obviously it came with the Online Pass. Like any other game or DLC you've downloaded on your PSN account, can I go on his PSN and download the DLC that allows him to play online and THEN use it to play online on my account? I've read that you cant share the BF3 pass...

I'm getting sick of MW3

want to try out another FPS game

nope, the online code is only for 1 person. he has to go buy another code for $10

I just went onto his account and downloaded it fine? Even though I did that, I wont be able to play online...?

yeh, i just bought a used bf3 today and there was an online code. i tried it and it gave me a message saying it was an invalid code or it has been used.

That's because you got the code and entered it onto your console. I'm talking about physically going onto the persons account, going into their "My Downloads" and downloading the files like that. It works with other DLC but idk if it will work for the online pass

well , as i know , you can , but, u can only "use" yr account on another 1< ps3 , so ,u can use yr account on yr ps3 and another , thats all , so , yes i think u can , but, w/e anyways..

It won't work with the online pass. The online pass is tied to the persons PSN account, not the content inside of it. When you go into multiplayer, it checks to see if you have a valid multiplayer pass, authenticates it, and then you can play multiplayer. Until then, you can only play Campaign. The online pass is ten bucks, but I'm sure you can find one in the marketplace for cheaper.

Oh damn... I was wanting to try the game out and see if it was worth buying...

I couldn't find the online code anywhere on the PS Store plus here the code would probably be $20 where I could save an extra $30 and I could buy the game brand new with the code included...

It's best to test it on a friends account because he probably has better weapons unlocked. BF3+Premium is jam packed with content that is definitely worth the cash dished out for it.

Wont work. You need your own online pass.
