Windows 8? Well there's your problem, lol.

Yea windows 8 is currently not supported. I have no idea whats the issue though. Did you install the visual studio 2010 x86 crt?

I have problem too with this navigator. Evrything just seems fine, but when i open game and go to server then nothing changes in internet map.. Im running Windows 7 64bit.. Is the problem in 64 bit ? Because my friend is running that in 32bit fine.. Also i downloaded latest version of Java.

You probably didn't manually patch to the newest Arma version. Custom Launchers sometimes do not update to the newest patch, better do it by hand.

Doesn't work :S
