Does BE ban on IP?
Well, i got my old computer that I didnt have dayz on, (so no keystealers), got banned on purpose on a key, swapped to my original one, and about 2 weeks later it got banned. I am not a smart person on these subjects, but DO THEY OR DO THEY NOT PEOPLE? Half of the smart-people say yes, half of them dont.

No. They don't IP ban. If they did then it wouldn't have taken 2 weeks for you to get banned again...It would have been instant process.

Well, that's not necessarily true, I mean they can delay them, we don't really know.

But there's no proof they ban by IP, plus if they did they COULD be banning innocent people, and as much as they like making money from us I just doubt they would go that far and be that desperate. But you never REALLY know, they might, but until someone proves it you can pretty well say they don't

If they did Ip bans my valid key woulda been banned months ago =p. I been trying to get these people who swear on their life they Ip ban to decompile battleye and show me the part where they claim this is happening but of course no one has a factual source so I call bullshit on them =p. I agree with you completely though.

The OP phrased this question poorly. What I said is very true in regards to his question. IP Banning would indicate that once a person is banned, he or she will stay banned regardless if a key was switched out or not...Unless the IP address is changed. What you guys are proposing (but not saying is true) is that Battleye is marking the IP Addresses associated with the keys that are banned for hacking and then banning any other key associated with that IP address at a later date.

I've been analyzing the latest version of BE for other reasons (kudos to tim0n on that one btw) and there's nothing that would indicate this...Which I'm not surprised about. If I'm understanding what you guys are proposing (but not saying is true) correctly (about them just marking the ip address), then that sort of thing wouldn't be seen in code. It's really far fetched and I can say with 100% certainty that they don't do it.

Not true. No one bans you for using a VPN. It's the multiple IP's hacking and saying YOLO, that are banning the other people using the key legitly.
Correct me if I am wrong, but don't keys get marked for a ban wave if two different IP's use it withing a 24 or 48 hour period? I did tests on this, and after buying a key, I waited a few days to use it.
Needless to say, that key lasted me a few weeks until it was resold. (Typical key sellers on this forum)
