Google Chrome
Do any of you use Google Chrome? And are you having problems with it taking up to 3gb of ram for running? I don't quick understand what is going on, but it's taking 2.7gb of ram right now, and the only thing I had open were YouTube (now closed) and then mpgh... Anyone have anything on this, or should I just finally move to firefox?
use firefox

Seems legit.
However, I don't think it's a very just reason to...

@Aborted , that's what I'm thinking, but unfortunately I cannot find anything causing it.

Type chrome:memory in the url bar and check what is actually sucking up your RAM.

Browser- 75356k
GPU- 107692k
Pepper plugin (shockwave flash)- 144060k
youtube- 47659k
mpgh- 67836k

That's kind of weird. What's gpu? I think shockwave flash is for videos, cause it crashes a lot and any video streaming is killed. Broswer, I'm assuming application? But I don't think it should take that much.

I didn't even know one could do such a thing. I never mess with browsers.
Oh, and @Aborted , the virtual memory is 210096k... It looks bad, but I wouldn't know.

The only thing I can think of is virus.. but I'm 75% sure I don't have one...
Never had a single issue with Chrome, and never has it taken up that much RAM with simple browsing.
Sounds a lot like something malicious leeching on.
