Torrenting issues
Hey so this question is geared more towards Comcast customers in the US.

Recently, my torrent speeds have been absolutely terrible. I'm getting ~300kb/s per torrent and 1mb/s if I'm lucky. I used to be able to download at up to 4 mb/s. I just wanna figure out if there's any throttling going on at Comcast.

All ports aren't being blocked on my end (and seem to connect fine to trackers).
Firewalls are not blocking any torrent traffic.
Disk is not overloaded.
Torrents have at least 300 seeders.

Any help or suggestions?
Did you pay your internet bill ? lel could restrict speed, also do a speed test and post results.

Your internet is gud enuf. So I'm not sure, reset modem/router. Try a shitload of torrents and see if any works better. @xprtplyr cuz he may be right

edit: took out picture cuz holy fuk
There's probably a lot of leechers or the torrent could be new hence the slower speed. The number of seeds don't really matter cause some guys limit their upload speed to like 1kbps.

It's a fairly old torrent. Plus, if I torrent at my work place (little slower WiFi than I have, 15 down, 2 up; also same torrent) and I get better speeds than I do at my home.

Already tried resetting modem/router :\ And this is I think the 10th torrent I've tried. Even when downloading popular ones like TheThingy's Adobe collections, I'd still get ~400 kb/s (where as I used to get ~3.5-4)

Yep seems like something is blocking but I don't use torrents so I can't be much help.

edit; disable all antiviruses? (ifhaventtriedalready) I don't know much else, hope someone else can help ya.

I thought it might have had something to do with Windows 8.1 (same computer, just reimaged) since that's the only major chance I had so I tried torrenting with Ubuntu (no antivirus) and I only get about 50 kb/s higher.

Should've said that, Win8.1 is the worse fucking OS in the universe. Could be causing your problems, most likely is if it's what changed since it worked before.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of 8.1 but my company required me to update my home computer or force me to work with a freaking tablet to a virtual desktop. But, I did try with Ubuntu on a separate computer with little change.

Can't really help you much more then, I know nothing about windows8+ and/or torrenting. bleh.
I'm using w8.1, I get about 10mb/s.
So it's not an OS wide issue, when did the problems start and did you install something new that you can recall?
I don't use comcast, just doing educated guessing here.

Also, check the task manager
Same here actually
Got a couple of DMCA warnings and now i'm getting the same download speeds.
Although i always thought its was just my wifi card on my desktop.

Try a different client? i know some torrent sites don't whitelist some major clients.
Oh U.S. you must love DMCA.
I think because you have peels
