Help deciding CPU
Hey MPGH I have a question for you guys. So recently my motherboard died and needs to be replaced which would be good but it's an LGA1156 Intel DP55KG Extreme edition. Which basically means its from 2009 along with the CPU i5-760s 3.2Ghz. Now I was wondering since I don't want to dish more than maybe 250-300 on a new mobo and CPU, what would be the best combo for that Price?

PC Specs for Reference
Zalman Z11 plus Case
GeForce GTX 670
8GB DDR3 Crucial sports Ram
Cooler Master V8 Heatsink
GM 650w PSU
and it might not matter but 4 installed fans with 2 built in fans.
Use an amazon refund service
You can get a great Intel CPU and nice mobo for $300. E.g an i5 4670K and any good Z87 mobo

You know, not everyone's willing to do an amazon service. Even though I would probably do it if Amazon accepted Paypal and my mom didn't bitch to me.

I suggest you get a normal H81 mobo and then pair it with an i5-4460. Should work just fine.

I bought this 6 years ago so refund is not going to work.

While the H81 looks nice I want something that could maybe be overclockable and since there will be a special soon I was wondering if anyone has links to certain parts they might think will do good.

He said around 250-300 range and he doesn't have a mobo for LGA 1150 socket.
i5-4690 with H97 mobo. Great value for the price!
