The others I do not recognize by name, so cannot attest to whether they're alright or not.

Digital Ocean is a VPS provider so it should be fine

Filezilla is a data transfer program from your local computer to your site and/or VPS. I'd imagine Dave would use this to upload files to the site using this program (FTP)

PuTTY is another program which is used by many.
Hello.

I've bought the VPS from digital ocean and set it up.
I managed to start server.exe and it looks like it runs fine (says "listening at port 80")
but when i try to run wServer.exe it gives me the following error:

[23:18:25] 3 Additions

Thank you in advance!!

Have you setup wserver.config or whatever it is?

Can you paste the code using the [CODE] tags please?
Code:
#Internal Server Config
#
maxClients:100
tps:5
port:2050
whiteList:false
verifyEmail:false
whitelistTurnOff:2014-07-31 12:00:00
serverDomain:146.185.152.44
#serverEmail:
#serverEmailPassword:
#smtpHost:
#smtpPort:
like this?
htt p://imgu r. com/ArqrpWO

I could pay anyone who would help me fix this problem.
If you think you can help me add me on skype please

skype: 'king-mare'

Thanks
Don't use linux trust me its the worst choice you could ever make I've had linux for about a year or two till i switched back to windows because linux is so useless for general use and the support it has from developers and programs is so little compared to windows and not to mention that pretty much every programmer prefers windows over linux but then again linux is open source so if you find a game friendly distro or a general use distro then linux isnt that bad but still windows > linux

Customizing Source Code

3. Update the following files with your credentials:
- AdminPanel/AdminPanel.cs
- AdminPanel/Login.cs
- server/Program.cs
- server/server.cfg
- server/list.cs
- wServer/Program.cs
- wServer/wServer.cfg

Care to elaborate, pls.

UPDATE: I don't think that was the issue, i'm at this point. Trying to run the server is wServer is giving me this error when i launch it.

"Missing method System.Array::Empty<[1]>() in assembly /usr/lib/mono/4.5/mscorlib.dll, referenced in assembly /home/zaldimmar/rotmg/wServer.exe

at wServer.realm.RealmManager.Initialize () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at wServer.Program.Main (System.String[] args) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0"

if anyone could help it would be nice.
Hey guys, I already got the old source running on my vps a while ago. But this drives me crazy!

Everytime I try to start server.exe or wServer with mono it throws:

kian@kian:~/RotMG$ mono wServer.exe
log4net:ERROR Could not create Appender [conLogger] of type [log4net.Appender.ColoredConsoleAppender]. Reported error follows.

looks like the log4net ConLogger is not part of mono. I already using latest alpha.

Someone could gimme a hint over here? ah yeah and thanks for the great tut!
