While some of the suggestions mentioned above are sound, it's also a double-edged sword. Following some 12 year old's tutorials on YouTube can set yourself up for bad habits. I'm not sure if you are wanting to learn for career purposes or as a hobby but good habits go a long way. Gone are the days when programmers sat in a basement requesting grilled-cheese sandwiches from their mothers. Much of the software development community is in fact, a community. You will have to read other people's code as well as they will read yours. This is why I said developing good habits is crucial early on.

What are you interested in learning specifically?

There are some very useful youtube videos that can help you and there are many webistes that can help...not all are just kids

The Microsoft developing network is extremely useful for C#, C++, etc...

Try Codecademy for basic learning. I'm thinking about making a beginner hacker/programmer group, so if you are interested pm me.

eh, wouldn't call them a complete joke. It's oriented for beginners who know nothing, that's why I suggested it. Anyways the site you suggested seems pretty cool for learning c languages.
