Tf are you thinking?! Of course if you let this run for an hour most probably you'll get an additional hour to your hours played. The whole point of it is that you won't need to play the game to increase your hours played, this app will do it for you. It'll spoof steam thinking that you're actually playing.

Boost for 1 hour, you will get 1 hour for sure xD
