[Detected] Banned - Page 5 - MPGH - MultiPlayer Game Hacking & Cheats

I'm not banned?

I've edited my save file, removed the corn, changed my FOV, and changed my rank. Currently have 4 survivors with about 3000 items and 3000 addons each. Plus all killers with all addons and offerings etc.
Profile set to private, steam cloud turned off.

Not sure whats causing the banwave

The reason people are getting banned is because of EAC, they are looking at it.

Meh, so this banwave It looks like... Completely random.

You may have received some reports and your profiles have been checked. Probably DBD Mods collect reports for a whole month and send them to devs who gives bans.

If they dont reply within a timely manner or refuse to tell you outright why (and show proofs of some sort), you can simply contact the steam support afterwards and basically either make them remove your bann or show you a valid reason why.

Obviously a ticket with "I banned, why?" or equal stupid stuff will not cut it.
Attach screenshots, use proper language and demand an answer.
You bought the game and even if you are (rightfully) banned, they still cant bann anybody without having a proper proof to do so.

Worst case, you are still banned,
middle case you and we know why you are banned,
best case your bann gets removed or superbest case Steam removes the rights to manualy bann users from DbD Devs. (Which legit happend with other devs, as they were manualy banning people for no valid reason)

Bottom line is, there is much more to win than to loose for anybody here that got banned recently.

No they don't have to prove shit, i contacted steam support, they said steam cannot remove bans, i should contact again bhvr and ask for more information

If it is EAC then there are two possibilities:
1. People are running the editor/SAM while the game is open (technically it could also happen that the game was open previously but EAC or the game didn't unload properly or the other way around that the editor or SAM didn't unload properly).
2. They look at your recently ran files and check if you started the editor shortly ago.

So if you want to be on the safe side I would recommend the following safety measures:
1. Reboot before and after using the savegame editor or sam.
2. Put the savegame editor & sam on an usb-stick and unplug it after you are done hacking in things.

If you want to increase the security even further you should use both SAM and the editor only on a system you do not use for playing.

Of course. For example VAC used to parse your USN Journal (which is basically a log of recently ran files) to detect some hacks. Of course this causes a lot of criticism because you may get banned again after buying a new game even without hacking.

Is there a way to completely clear your list of recently ran programs?

It is enough to just delete the hacks as these logs only contain a line with the name of the file, not the actual content.

Also EAC has some scans which really go through the entire system memory. It is feasible that there may still be traces after the editor was unloaded. In any case it makes sense to reboot after using it.

i thought i got banned by SAM but not cause of changing rank.... i try to fix my achievements and after 4 days i got it too

before we buy the game again, is there anything we have to do before to buy ? like changing something or delete ?

So i also used the Editor alot on my new dbd steam Account which is also private ofc (i DONT started it while playing, i always Disable the steam Cloud) and im not banned. I also used Sam 2 times.
