I would like to ask about countermeasures.
For example, instead of the main PC on which the game is installed
In the sub PC, edit the data storage, change the rank with SAM, achieve achievement with SAM

Well i used Save from Bixkk it had every charakter p3+legacy and 2400 flashlights on claudette, used sam to change ranks, used hxd to get exclusives was using a Lot brazil on claudette , not banned. Nor my 6 friends on steam Which are playing dbd.

I've been using SteamCrack for a while, even added the new DLC to it, still not banned.

I'm playing with my own savefile, hacked some achievments, some bloodpoints and max. perks, profile on public within the screenshots and still no ban.

Let me clarify what happened.
Some dumbfuck decided to encode that particular item to infinte itself in cheat engine. This meant that he wouldn't run out of the flashlight and he wouldn't necessarily lose it upon death as well. HOWEVER, because he dropped that encoded item into the hands of another player, the taint of cheat engine was binged in EAC.
In plain english: DONT FUCKING USE CHEAT ENGINE WHILE THE GAME IS RUNNING. You run the risk of getting yourself and others banned because of your recklessness. The save game editor will also unlock most of your achievements, it's highly advisable that you get Steam Achievement Manager to redo the dates so it doesn't look painstakingly obvious that you cheated.
Although, idiots deserve to get caught, Darwin at its best =D

I have friends with public profile who used save file hacks and the save game editor, they are not banned.
2 of my friends who never cheated but modified the colors of the perks did get banned.
It seems to be an EAC mass ban since the devs were unaware of the ban wave and they are investigating it.
I myself got banned and all I did was moving my own save file every X days to force a rank reset and changed the perk colors (3 months ago), never used any other hack on the account.
Friends with legacy hack files are not banned.
So, considering it is an EAC ban, what can happen? Can the devs force/ask them to undo the ban? It is clear that this didn't affect cheaters purely, but also people that just messed up with ingame colors (no advantage).

If they will say in public that, it has been revered back; and you sill banned, need send them a letter.
Yeah, my friend with colored perk mod also have ban and this is probably the reason.

I also stalked the famous DBD players (No0b3's and Ussylis's friends) and I see that all of them got banned now. Memes (No0b3's friend) has already get the answer and not unban him.

So, does someone have a clue how they banned? For what reason? Please. I will not buy the game again, before I have to know what I did wrong
