It is not people who are involved in organised crime who are committing mass shootings. Yes they would be able to get guns if they were banned.

It is random psychotic individuals going crazy - they might not have contacts know how to get them.

At least if you ask someone in the UK about acid attacks, are best response it not to damn defend our right to have access to acid

Well at least if you need to protect your self from the government you will have a gun. Good luck against there tanks, fighters, navy + drones etc. You can shoot at them with your piddly little gun.
you realize there wont be any tanks, etc. because the us army is not allowed to be deployed on US soil.

Least our government and EU as a whole can do a better job at protecting their own citizens from harm of any bad that comes at us, but for some reason, US government cannot even do that so they allow people to have guns because government is not being trusted enough to do their job in a way that nobody feels unsafe from the citizens that are living in that country of yours... There has never been this amount of school shootings in Europe because we have different amendment and gun control overall, and overall people aren't gun orientated or want to have guns, and if they want to have a weapon, they have to seek their way out to have that special permission to even have one, and even then the rarely anyone goes to a school, which is a public place to kill someone or take a revenge on the people who are in that school, this is the first school shooting in US of this year, and trust me, there will be many more if nothing is being done, again US is that special snowflake where people need guns because their country feels unsafe because their government aren't willing to do much to keep them safe from any harm, no matter who is the cause of said harm, this is why most if not all european countries are far safer since WWII than US has been since then or after that.

When Hitler took control of Germany he burned schools to the ground and said it wasn't him. Now we have school shootings where the child is put on bail and somehow the bail gets paid. Whether or not he comes from a rich ass family. So is it really just mental kids or is there more to this than the front page of a newspaper?

Whatever or not its more than in front of news paper, nothing can be compared to what is happening in US to what happened in 1939-1945.

Hitler didn't only took the control of Germany, he pretty much took the control the whole EU at the time of it happening, a lot of countries were trying to fight back with its resistance, but were unable to because of the group being too small or the German army was too big, but after Germany pushed to Russia, USSR started to fight back, whatever or not Hilter did things is what he did during the time of his power is not in the question here, the question here is the public safety and how much people trust their own government to keep the citizens safe, for the lack of the better word, then in my humble opinion, US citizens for the most part lack the better-self to trust the government to get the job done, in a meanwhile, the whole EU is much or plenty more safe than any continent of US, sorry.

You may not see it because people in US is mostly brainwashed and/or told things that were lies (which could be called brainwashing), but each time someone is being killed or mass shooting is under-going, nothing is being done when it comes to US government, why? Because most if not all of them who are working in there are total retards and are missing couple of brain cells cough Donald J. Trump cough and many presidents before him (Remember President Kennedy's murder?) oh, wait a moment

I definitely don't trust our government.
Im from Russia, I know how communism and government works. The huge difference between there and the US is that in the US we try to act like the good guys which we definitely are not. In Russia, they don't give a fuck if the public knows they're corrupt.
FloridaMan is back boi.
He's going to jail but well how many times has FloridaMan escaped? He's gonna come back with something better
Gun laws need to be a bit more strict, raise the work needed to commit atrocities like this
I thought only 2-4 people died, turns out 17 people died... holy shit.

Whoever thinks more guns are going to make the world safer are fucking morons. Everyone having a gun to stop a potential gunman is like putting out fire with fire. It's like what happened to airports after 9/11. The fact of the matter is the majority of people don't need semi-automatic or automatic rifles, they are meant to do a shitload of damage in a very short period of time.

True... They don't NEED it... But the thing is we live in a country called the United States of America which has amendments. The second amendment is the right to bear arms... That's right... If you're a citizen in the US of A you have the RIGHT to bear arms. I know New York is far off from what the US used to be, but some of us still cherish our rights as US citizens. Wonder what would happen if these cowards didn't attack GUN FREE ZONES? Maybe if the teacher who took a bullet for his kids had proper defense, something else would have happened... As there would have been another gun into play. A defensive gun... Because how else do you fight fire with fire Dave? Should we go charging at the gunman with a bale of water?

End of the day guns can never be taken away and if a deranged individual is set on killing as many people as possible, they'll find a tool to do it.

We should ban guns though... Along with medical malpractice, which kills 3x more people.

wait... how do we ban medical malpractice????

u cant

Amendment that was created 200 years ago+ to keep the British at bay. Today, we need it to keep other retards with guns and to make gun companies big money!!!

There were two armed guards at the school.

If it was a gun++ zone it wouldn't made any difference. In reality not every teacher would have carried a gun, even if a teacher had a gun do we really need a gun battle at a school? In reality it was over in a few minutes, that's the fun of dealing with automatic and semi-automatic rifles.

Sure they can be taken away

Gun deaths are totally preventable, whereas medical malpractice isn't. Big difference.

> when you land in school and you're the only one with a weapon

Millions upon millions of people own firearms in the United States. We are the only country that has such a vast history with guns. We have millions of legal and illegal firearms circulating within our country. The fact that we only have a few incidents per year involving mass shootings is astounding.

Furthermore, you fail to understand that we are not other countries. Our history with firearms is much different than every other country. Just because it worked for you does not mean it will work for us. While I do agree mentally disturbed individuals should not have legal access to own firearms, I do not believe stripping the rights from the millions of law abiding citizens that want to own guns for defensive or recreational purposes is fair.
