That is 100% false. Every match in online multiplayer is hosted by someone in that particular lobby. Do you think the host migration status screen that shows up in the middle of a match is there for good looks? No, it shows up when the host leaves and the game has to find someone else to host. I have already coded a working force host tool for this game. Whether or not I decide to release it remains to be seen.

I don't play Ghost a lot but, why would they use servers for BO2 and not for Ghost tho?

I can't say for certain, but cod games generally use a player as host in online matches (in matchmaking) afaik. Some cod games have included a server browser, where people can host their own servers. I don't think any cod game since mw2 has provided official servers, as hosting a dedicated server costs money. It's easier and cheaper for them to use their players to host their games for each match. Like I said, dedicated server browsers show you servers people voluntarily host. I don't think any of them are paid for and hosted by activision themselves. Btw bo2 also uses a host system (matchmaking), I've made force host tools for every cod I've played incl. bo2, and have seen the host migration screen in every cod I've played incl. bo2 when a player who happens to be the host rage quits from my lobby. If you have any question about it, a google search for "call of duty host migration" will bring up more info on the subject.

That must be a recent change then. I haven't played bo2 let alone code anything for it since ghosts came out as ghosts is my favorite cod game, smh. When I played bo2 online, host migrations were a regular thing when aimbotting lobbies, almost on a match by match basis.
