Why has IM disappeared completely?

Yeh the chat button is not available for me too. Only had like 10 contacts on it. Have tried on multiple browsers too. Are they doing an update? or is it a bug they are fixing?

when I click on the IM link it even doesn't open up
i have not seen the im button in forever. don't know how to fix
I haven't even seen the chat button in months. I've been only purchasing stuff from people I have dealt with in the past via DM and Email for the time being, but I sure would love to get in contact with some of these other people.
Chat button disappeared today and havent seen it in 8+ hours. used multiple browsers and devices and the same issue still.
